Forecasts of the Danish Economy

The Policy Area

The ministry monitors the Danish and international economy, conducts analyses of economic relationships and prepares economic forecasts. The ministry oversees activities and development in key economic indicators, including GDP, employment, export, investments and productivity. The result of the work is published three times each year in The Economic Survey, which contains the government’s forecast of the short-term economic outlook in Denmark. The forecast forms the basis of decisions when the government develops the economic policy for Denmark.

The work also involves detailed analyses of current relevant topics, for instance the developments in the labour or housing markets or the Danish productivity performance. The analyses are published as a part of theseries Økonomisk Analyse.
